Saved Import Configurations
Save your import setup and reuse it. No need to map fields every time.
What Gets Saved
- Platform detection
- Entity type (tickets, customers, articles)
- Field mappings
- Value mappings (status and priority translations)
- Match settings
- Merge strategies
Saving a Config
After completing field mapping and merge strategy steps, click Save Configuration. Name it something descriptive like Monthly Zendesk ticket sync or CRM customer update.
Loading a Saved Config
In Settings > Team Tab > Import Data, saved configurations appear at the top. Click one to load it, upload your file, and the importer applies saved mappings and goes straight to preview.
Managing Configs
Rename or delete saved configurations from the import settings page. Each config stores the date it was last used.
When to Use
- Regular syncs - Weekly or monthly data updates
- Team handoffs - One person sets up mapping, others reuse
- Testing - Small test batch first, full import with same config
- Recurring reports - Export from external tool, import updates into cStar
