Welcome, Hero. Your adventure begins now.
Don't Panic.

cStar is customer support software that happens to be an RPG. You help customers, you earn XP, you level up. Every ticket is a quest. Every resolution is progress. Every happy customer unlocks new possibilities.
No PhD in helpdesk software required. If you can read a ticket and type a reply, you're ready.
First Run: Pick Your Features
The first time the team Owner signs in, cStar walks you through a feature picker. You decide what to turn on:
- Tickets (always on)
- Customers (always on)
- Library (knowledge base)
- Community (customer-facing forum)
- Quick Help (anonymous AI Q&A on public pages)
- AI (drafts, tone, translation, auto-tagging)
- AI Agents (autonomous ticket-answering agents, free, BYOK)
- Boss Battles (the gamification layer)
Anything you skip can be turned on later from Settings → Global. Anything you enable can be turned off the same way. The point is to start with what your team will actually use.
The 5-Minute Start
- Explore the Dashboard. Click around. You can't break anything. The dashboard is a bento grid of cards (your queue, agent stats, daily quests, season progress, etc.). Hit Edit to add, remove, or rearrange.
- Open a ticket. Read what the customer needs. Reply with something helpful.
- Close a ticket. When the issue is resolved, close it. XP awarded.
- Check your profile. See your Level 1 badge. That's yours now.
- Watch for boss battles. When the ticket queue gets intense, a boss spawns. Team up. Defeat it. Collect rewards.
What Makes cStar Different
The gamification isn't a gimmick. It's a framework that makes the invisible work of support visible.
- XP and Leveling: every closed ticket earns XP. Priority, SLA performance, and streaks affect how much.
- Achievements: 100+ unlocks across volume, speed, quality, teamwork, knowledge, community, and a stash of hidden ones.
- Boss Battles: collaborative events when the queue spikes. The team works together to clear it.
- 1-Ups: send recognition to teammates. They earn 10 XP and know you noticed.
- Quests: daily objectives that reset every 24 hours. Combine for streak bonuses.
- Leaderboards: see who's performing well. Celebrate it. (Off by default if you'd rather skip it.)
Your Tools
- Quick Replies: pre-written responses you insert with a slash command. Type
/in any reply box. - Library: your knowledge base. Share articles instead of retyping answers.
- SLA Timers: color-coded deadlines that tell you what's urgent. Beat them for bonus XP.
- Command Bar: hit
Cmd/Ctrl+Kfrom anywhere to search, navigate, or run commands.
Pricing
$15 per seat per month for humans. AI agents are free. The first 3 Spectator (read-only) seats are free too.
