Is there a mobile app for cStar?
Honest answer: not yet. But the mobile web experience is solid, and there's a way to make it feel like an app.
Mobile Web Works Great
cStar's web app is fully responsive:
- Adapts to any screen - Phone, tablet, whatever
- Touch-friendly - Designed for tapping and swiping
- Push notifications - Real-time alerts work
- Full features - Everything you can do on desktop
Add to Home Screen (Recommended)
This is the move. Makes cStar launch like a native app:
iPhone/iPad
- Open Safari, go to cstar.help
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
- Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen
- Name it, tap Add
Android
- Open Chrome, go to cstar.help
- Tap the menu (three dots)
- Tap Add to Home screen
- Tap Add
Now you've got:
- One-tap launch from your home screen
- Full-screen experience (no browser toolbar)
- Push notifications
- App drawer presence
Current Limitations
Being honest here:
- No offline mode - You need internet
- Complex features - Some work better on bigger screens
- Attachments - Limited to camera and photo gallery
Native Apps?
We're thinking about it. If there's enough demand, we'll prioritize iOS and Android apps with offline support and biometric login.
For now, the home screen shortcut works surprisingly well. Don't overthink it.
