How do I change my notification settings?

Don't drown in notifications. Set them up the way you actually work.

Getting There

  1. Click your profile avatar (top right)
  2. Select Settings
  3. Go to Notifications tab

What You Can Get Notified About

Ticket Stuff

  • New ticket assigned - When a ticket lands on your desk
  • Customer replied - When they write back
  • You're mentioned - When someone @mentions you
  • SLA warning - When you're about to blow an SLA (this one's important)

Team Stuff

  • One-Up received - When someone recognizes your good work
  • Boss Battle started - When a boss spawns (because you don't want to miss loot)
  • Level up - When you or a teammate levels up

System Stuff

  • Product updates - New features (we ship fast)
  • Maintenance alerts - When we're doing downtime (rare)

Where You Get Them

In-App

The bell icon. Always on. Can't turn it off because that would be chaos.

Email

Toggle each type independently. Choose:

  • Instant - Email for every single thing (warning: inbox explosion)
  • Digest - One daily summary (the sane choice)
  • Off - Nothing (if you live in the app)

Push (Browser/Mobile)

Real-time alerts even when cStar is closed:

  1. Toggle on Push notifications
  2. Accept the browser permission when it asks
  3. Click Send test to make sure it works

Quiet Hours

We respect that you have a life.

  1. Enable Quiet Hours
  2. Set your start and end times
  3. Pick which days (weekends? all week?)

No notifications during those hours. Work-life balance is real.

Don't Overthink It

Start with fewer notifications. You can always add more. Most people do:

  • Push for SLA warnings
  • Email digest for everything else
  • Quiet hours for evenings/weekends

Adjust until it feels right.
