How do I cancel my subscription?

We'd love you to stay, but we won't make leaving difficult. That's not how we operate.

Before You Cancel

A few options:

  • Pause your account - Take a break without losing your data
  • Talk to us - If something's broken or frustrating, let us fix it: support@cstar.help

We're not going to offer you a desperate discount or hide the cancel button. If cStar isn't right for you, that's okay.

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. Select Cancel subscription
  4. Tell us why (genuinely helps us improve)
  5. Confirm

That's it. No phone call required. No "retention specialist" ambush.

What Happens Next

Immediately:

  • Status changes to "Canceling"
  • You keep full access until your billing period ends

At Period End:

  • Your account becomes read-only
  • All your data stays safe for 90 days
  • Team members can view but not respond to tickets

After 90 Days:

  • Data may be permanently deleted
  • Export before this deadline

Export Your Data First

Don't lose your history:

  1. Tickets: Settings > Export > Tickets
  2. Customers: Settings > Export > Customers
  3. Knowledge Base: Library > Export

Your data is yours. Take it with you.

Changed Your Mind?

Just log back in within 90 days, reactivate in Settings > Billing, and everything will be right where you left it. Including your XP and achievements—we're not monsters.
