A full-screen modal is blocking your view. Don't panic. Here is what is happening and what to do about it.

Why This Appears

The Payment Required modal shows up when:

  • Your free trial has ended without a payment method on file
  • Your subscription was canceled and the paid period expired
  • A payment failed and was not resolved

Your account is temporarily locked, but your data is safe. Nothing has been deleted.

If You Are the Team Owner

The modal gives you two options:

  1. Subscribe. Click the button to add payment through Stripe and restore access immediately.
  2. Export My Data. Download everything before making a decision.

The modal shows your current seat count and monthly cost, so you know exactly what subscribing means.

If You Are Not the Owner

You will see a different message asking you to contact your team Owner. The modal displays:

  • The Owner's name (if available)
  • The Owner's email (clickable)

Only the Owner can manage billing, so reaching out to them is your next step.

The Deletion Countdown

The modal shows how many days until your data is scheduled for cleanup. This is typically 30 days from when billing was locked.

This is not a scare tactic. It is transparency. You have time to:

  • Export your data
  • Decide if you want to continue
  • Resubscribe when you are ready

Even on day 29, subscribing restores everything exactly where you left it.

Troubleshooting

Modal buttons not responding? Try refreshing the page. If you are not the Owner, you can't take action. Only the Owner can.

Payment button not working? Check for popup blockers or try a different browser.

Just paid but still seeing the modal? Refresh the page. Stripe confirmation can take a few seconds. If it persists for more than a minute, contact support.
